Grinnell College Looking for Host Families

The Office of International Student Affairs is looking for host families! Please read below for more information!

We’re already planning for fall J when the College will welcome 45-50 new international students into our community!

Grinnell’s Host Family Friendship Program matches new international students with local individuals and families who are interested in making friends with and providing support for students from abroad. We hope you will participate!

Read more about the program (including fall dates) on the OISA WEB SITE.

If you wish to participate, please complete the on-line FAMILY PARTICIPATION FORM posted there.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at #3703.

Sincerely,

Karen K. Edwards, Assistant Dean and Director of International Student Affairs
Volunteer Coordinators: Dixie Hansen; Monica St. Angelo; Sue Ramsey

P.S. Please feel free to refer the Host Family Friendship Program to your friends. ‘Word of mouth’ is our most successful recruitment tool!

This is an amazing program and I highly encourage everyone to participate. I was on the student side of a similar program during my undergrad and I still have very frequent contact with my FAMILY! My wife, girls and I have been the host family for 3 students now and we have cherished memories of and with each of them! Please touch base with Karen and help welcome these great kids to Grinnell!
