Friday December 4th at 7pm watch as the Grinnell College Pioneers take on Beloit!
The Pioneers have been featured in Sports Illustrated and ESPN the Magazine. They have a very unique style known as “The System."

emphasizes a torrid pace of play where offensive possesions last about
5 seconds and typically end with a three-pointer.
It's sure to be an exciting game! The game starts at 7pm. For those wishing to carpool we will meet at Voodoo Lounge at 5:30pm. Post game festivities will be at La Cabana.

YPIowa Board and Committee Positions Available
The Young Professionals of Iowa Board is meeting on November 13th to nominate new members for board positions. The broader the representation of our board from a variety of groups, the better ideas we have as a group. Do you know someone from your area who would be a great board member? If so, email us their information. The YPIowa Board meets four times a year and each board member also works on our strategic plan through work on a committee. If you want a short-term duty to help out and are not interested in a board position, a committee is for you! Right now, we are beginning the planning for the day at the capitol and could use representation from around the state to help us achieve a state wide focus in our speakers and programming for the day.
When we do board nominations, we think of people we know from across the state, but there are always those of you out there that are involved and amazing individuals that we NEED to be involved and just haven’t yet met. Please forward this on to those great people and help us find them, get them involved, and change our state for the better!
YP Symposium
Opportunity for Development & Networking
On November 5, 2009, the Young Professionals of Dubuque will host the 3rd Annual YP Symposium at the Grand River Center in Dubuque, Iowa. This daylong event offers all in attendance dynamic professional development sessions and engaging networking opportunities. The YP Symposium is held in memory of Meghan Hackett.
Keynote Speaker, Liz Lynch, will present Smart Networking for Career Success. Networking is one of the fastest, most cost effective ways to establish more business and accelerate your career. But it can also be a frustrating, time-consuming endeavor if you don’t know how to put the pieces together correctly. Liz will be providing her book “Smart Networking” for all Symposium attendees.
After the YP Symposium concludes, attendees are invited to attend a special Networking Reception to connect with others and reflect on their experiences from the day. The Networking Reception will run from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at Tony Roma’s at the Grand River Center.
As a special part of the annual YP Symposium, YPD will recognize one member with the Outstanding Young Professional of Dubuque Award in Honor of Meghan Hackett. The Symposium and award are dedicated to the memory of Meghan, the original visionary of the Young Professionals of Dubuque.
